But Ferdinand is a lot better later in the game when you can avoid stack with his personal skill. Overall, Ferdinand is probably better than Sylvain. But Sylvain has an advantage early on. Sylvain is my favorite Wyvern Lord in the game because his combat arts are great for it. Lightning Axe combined with his decent magic stat makes for a good armor killer, and Swift Strikes is, well, Swift Strikes. It even goes great with his crest. Voting Wyvern Lord for sure. Edit: He's also worked wonders for me as a Warlock, so that's actually my second option. His spell pool is great and he gets Physic and Seraphim. He's also probably my favorite mage because of his Black Magic avoid +20, he can really take some damage as a mage because he also has pretty solid defense. I feel the only problem with Wyvern Lord for Sylvain is, you have to focus so much on axes, before you can actually start getting his lance level to A.
